With a plethora of new games coming out in 2023, fans have a lot to look forward to over the next few months. The hype is growing as two of the most eagerly awaited games of 2023, Hogwarts Legacy and Dead Space Remake, near their release dates.
Although there has been a lot of excitement and hype surrounding both titles, we noticed that Dead Space Remake is currently outperforming Hogwarts Legacy in terms of sales and popularity on Steam. Just hours before its launch, Dead Space has become the top-selling game on Steam.
Earlier, the review embargos were lifted, and the game scored 89 on Metacritic, which explains the hype for it. The original game received lots of love from the players when it was released in 2008, and it seems the fans can’t wait to play the remake.
Dead Space Remake keeps the essence of the original 2008 game while including new gameplay elements and visual updates. Players will once again take on the role of Isaac Clarke, an engineer who must fight to survive and uncover the truth behind an outbreak.
Hogwarts Legacy, in contrast, is an open-world role-playing game set in the Harry Potter universe. Players build their characters and enroll in Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry, where they can discover a hidden plot, study magic, and make friends. However, Hogwarts Legacy’s magical environment is currently underperforming Dead Space’s frightening world.
Dead Space has just come back after nearly a decade, and the new Remake appears to be living up to the legacy of the franchise so far.
