Fortnite needs no introduction in the gaming industry. As one of the pioneers in the battle royale genre, Fortnite paved the way for other popular games such as Apex Legends and Call of Duty: Warzone.
The popular battle royal is mainly based on third-person shooter gameplay. However, Fortnite has previously introduced FPS elements in the game, and it looks like a first-person game mode might soon be headed to Fortnite Battle Royal. In a new update today, Epic Games added new files in the game for a first-person game mode. This could potentially mean that a first-person mode could be coming to the game and arrive as early as the next season.
Considering its building elements, it is difficult to imagine how a first-person mode would fit into a Battle Royale game like Fortnite. However, a while ago, Epic Games introduced a new game mode in Fortnite called Zero Build Mode, which removed the building element completely, making the game less complicated overall. If a first-person mode were combined with Zero Build Mode, it could work well and offer players a fresh experience.
Previously, there have been various leaks and rumors about a first-person mode in Fortnite, including one from Twitter user Hypex, a credible Fortnite news source who leaked multiple game updates. This leak first surfaced in June during Chapter 3, Season 3. At that time, the first-person mode was still in early development, and no other information was available.
FIRST PERSON CAMERA IN FORTNITE 🔥
This update Epic began working on some stuff about first person camera mode but there's no other info about it at the moment as it looks like it's still in early development. Would work REALLY well for the Zero Build Modes 👀 pic.twitter.com/PIRRmdLyp0

Epic Games has not failed to innovate when it comes to Fortnite. Despite being many years old, it remains a popular choice for gamers. The game has constantly engaged with fans through updates, new game modes, collaboration, and maps. A first-person mode would offer a fresh experience to the game and could potentially attract both old and new players.
