Horizon Forbidden West was released last year, marking another great release for PlayStation’s first-party line-up of games. The title saw great reception from critics and was nominated for the Game of The Year award. It offers exciting gameplay, a dense open world, and impressive visuals.
IMDb has recently revealed more information about Guerilla Games’ latest release. An IMDb trivia suggests that Horizon Forbidden West is the most expensive media produced in the Netherlands, with a budget of over 100 Million Euros.
The numbers are enormous, but Horizn Forbidden West falls behind other expensive titles. Looking at the most expensive video game productions, the list is currently led by Star Citizen, which is still in development and has already crossed over $415M. Cyberpunk 2077 is also on the list, with over $300M.
Horizon Forbidden West makes good use of its budget, providing a highly polished experience for PlayStation owners. Guerilla Games is now focusing on expanding the IP to other genres of gaming, with an online title currently in development for the franchise.
Horizon Forbidden West is also included in the February PS Plus games list. This should be exciting for Horizon fans as the game celebrated its first anniversary yesterday and will be joining PS Plus on 21 February.
