Overwatch 2 Hits 35 Million Players Just After Its First Month Of Release

Overwatch 2, published by Blizzard Entertainment, is a sequel to 2016 Overwatch. Overwatch 2 is a first-person shooter game directed by Aaron Keller and was released on October 4, 2022, for Consoles and PC.

Just after its first month of release, Overwatch 2 has hit 35 million players, as stated by the reports released by Activision Blizzard. This is a 10 Million player increase from the 25 Million it reached in its first 10 days.

“Over 35 million people played the game in its first month, including many who were new to Overwatch,” Activision Blizzard said.

Recently, we saw that the players complained that Overwatch 2 Halloween Skin Costs As High As $37, but these numbers, which include both old and new players, oppose this entirely. Despite the issues faced by Overwatch 2 during its launch, these numbers are impressive.

Furthermore, the same milestone of 35 million was achieved in 2016 by Overwatch, 1 year of its release. The original Overwatch attracted 15 million players in three months.

“The expanded community is engaging deeply, with average daily player numbers for the first month of Overwatch 2 more than double that of its acclaimed predecessor.”

We recently covered that the new Overwatch 2 hero will be revealed in the OWL grand finals on Friday, November 9; fans have been guessing that the upcoming Overwatch 2 would be Mauga. With Activision Blizzard continuously working to improve the game by bringing seasonal updates and releasing new game characters, modes, and maps, these numbers are going much higher very soon.

Also, Overwatch 2 season 2 update is to be released next month on December 6, 2022. Are you also a part of this 35 million community? Do let us know in the comments section below.
