Capcom is continuing the trend of high-quality remakes with Resident Evil 4. While the original game was released almost 18 years ago, Capcom has done a great job with modern additions to provide a fresh experience that is not held back by its age.
With just two days left before release, Resident Evil 4 Remake has already reached the number one spot of the Steam best-sellers.
The game has already surpassed many big titles like Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2, Red dead Redemption 2, and FIFA 23. Interestingly, Steam is currently running a massive sale on various titles. Games from all genres are on sale, with many going for as cheap as $4.99. Still, Resident Evil 4 Remake has held its own and stayed at the top of the list.
Resident Evil 4 Remake had already reached the top 5 last week, but it has climbed even higher now. For those wondering where CSGO and Apex Legends have gone, this list does not include free-to-play titles and only shows the paid titles that are available on Steam.
Similar to previous Resident Evil releases, Capcom has also released a demo so fans can try the horror game before making a purchase. Though the demo was well received, the game carries over deadzone and image issues in the preview build, and it remains to be seen if Capcom will address the issue through a day one patch.
The game will be officially released on March 24, and the reviews have been highly positive so far. As such, the game is shaping up to be a must-have for fans of the horror gaming genre.
