Marvel’s Spider-Man 2 is shaping up to be PlayStation’s biggest release in 2023. Insomniac Games is returning to the Spider-Man universe once again, and fans are excited to learn more about the game. Recently, Marvel’s Spider-Man 2 store page went live on PlayStation UK but was quickly taken down.
While the developers have not confirmed an actual release date for the game, a screenwriter for the game could have hinted at the release window. According to Jamie Mayer’s profile, Spider-Man 2 is set to release in the Fall of 2023.
As shown above, the screenwriter is currently working on both of Insomniac’s superhero projects. Her profile has hinted that Spider-Man 2 will hit shelves in Fall 2023. This does not sound far-fetched, given that Marvel’s Spider-Man was also released in the Fall of 2018.
Moreover, she has changed her bio now and the profile no longer states fall 2023 for Spider-Man 2’s release. However, this could mean that the fall 2023 release date is genuine and Spider-Man 2 will be out in the later part of the next year.
Though, these dates are not officially confirmed yet so it is best to take them with a grain of salt. There has been a lot of talking about Spider-Man 2 but it remains to be seen if the developers will come out with a statement after this recent discovery.
The game is a PlayStation5 exclusive and fans can expect the title to fully utilize PlayStation’s new hardware capabilities. While it is too early to say, the game might also end up on PC at some point.
