Marvel’s Spider-Man: Miles Morales, first released for PS4 and PS5 in 2020, is finally launching on PC today, November 18. This game is the most recent PlayStation-exclusive title from Sony to be released on the PC, following titles like God of War and Marvel’s Spider-Man Remastered.
Marvel’s Spider-Man Remastered enjoyed a successful launch on Steam as it reached 66,436 concurrent players – making it Sony’s second-biggest game release on PC. It also became the fastest-selling PC release in the UK, outselling God of War by 26%. Insomniac Games will hope that Miles Morales reaches the same heights as the original one. However, just a few hours before the game’s release, the sales figures are not looking great.
Marvel’s Spider-Man: Miles Morales is currently sitting at #7 as the best-selling game on Steam. On the other hand, Spider-Man Remastered was the best-selling game on Steam days before it was released.
Spider-Man: Miles Morales is currently listed for $49.99 on Steam and Epic Store. It offers a relatively shorter experience at about 7-8 hours, compared to 20+ hours of Marvel’s Spider-Man Remastered. . The hefty price tag and lack of plentiful content could explain the game’s poor sales numbers.
Spider-Man: Miles Morales offers the same flashy combat system as Spider-Man Remastered while adding new perks, gadgets, and Spidey suits. The game will also support the new Nvidia DLSS 3, Nvidia DLAA, and Nvidia Reflex, in addition to unlocked frame rates and ultrawide displays. The PC version is also compatible with the DualSense controller for the PlayStation 5.
A couple of other Sony titles, like the recently released The Last of Us Part I, still haven’t been released on PC. Sony has not formally announced a PC version of Returnal, despite multiple leaks of it coming to PC. While more PlayStation games will be headed to PC in the future, Marvel’s Spider-Man: Miles Morales will be the latest addition to the PC platform.
