Starfield And Redfall Are Reportedly In Rough Shape
Bethesda Still Needs More Time!!
Earlier leaks had pointed toward an early May release date for Bethesda’s Redfall. Last night at the Xbox Developer Direct Showcase, Redfall was officially announced with a 2nd May release date. However, the game has already been delayed twice, and it looks like Redfall might be in rough shape.
Horns, who recently leaked the Hi-Fi Rush release before the Xbox Developer Direct, has shared more information about Xbox. According to his source, Mircosoft has lost a significant amount of money on Azure, so they want Xbox to release Starfield and Redfall before June 2023.
The leaker further stated that both of Bethesda’s flagship games are not doing great, and Bethesda wants more time with Starfield. Redfall is three months away, but if the game is still half-cooked, it must be challenging for Bethesda to work on Redfall.
Starfield fans have waited four years since the game was announced at Bethesda’s E3 Press Conference in 2018, and it looks like their wait might not be worth it if the leak is to be believed. Starfield is advertised as the big Xbox system seller and Microsoft’s biggest first-party AAA release in over a decade.
As such, the game needs to impress audiences and live up to expectations. The leaker also hints at the possibility of a Fall 2023 release date for Starfield, which would put it in direct competition with Marvel’s Spider-Man 2 from Insomniac Games and PlayStation.
Both games are seemingly coming before June 2023, and if they are in rough shape, Bethesda must be working hard to fulfill fan expectations for Redfall and Starfield. Only time will tell how both games will perform, but this report is concerning for Microsoft’s most anticipated release of 2023.
