Marvel’s Spider-Man 2 was revealed in 2021 with an impressive-looking cinematic trailer. The trailer showed Peter Parker and Miles Morales’s Spiderman up against Spidey’s most formidable foe, Venom. However, PlayStation has been completely silent on the game since then.
The voice actor for Venom, Tony Todd, has been dropping hints about Marvel’s Spider-Man 2. Tony Todd recently jumped on the Deeper Level podcast, where he talked about action-packed sequences for Venom.
The voice actor gave us an insight into Venom’s role in the game. He compared Venom’s action sequences to a gameplay segment from Spider-Man: Miles Morales. Tony Todd said:
“You know this scene in Miles Morales where they’re chasing Rhino and smashing through windows? That’s what it’s going to be like.”
This means fans can expect even more action-packed gameplay from the upcoming Spider-Man title. Insomniac Games is known for delivering well-crafted cinematic sequences, and Venom’s involvement will elevate these sections to new heights.
Additionally, it looks like Insomniac’s take on Venom will be every bit as ruthless as fans have come to expect. Tony further said,
“Venom doesn’t play, Venom doesn’t give a damn.”
For now, we have little to no official information about an exact release date for Marvel’s Spider-Man 2, but the game is still slated for 2023. Sony has been very quiet about their upcoming titles, but fans can expect to learn more about the game next year.
