Recently foreign media XboxDynasty had the chance to interview the developers working at Wo Long: Fallen Dynasty, in which they revealed the game’s resolution, framerate, and performance modes.
When asked what resolution and framerate the game will run at, developer Masakazu Hirayama replied:
“On the Xbox Series X and the PlayStation 5, Wo Long: Fallen Dynasty will run at the highest quality level with 4k and 60 frames per second.”
It was quite surprising to hear that Wo Long: Fallen would run at 60 frames per second at native 4k, considering that many newer games struggle to run at the same settings. For instance, Gotham knights, a recently released game by WB Games Montreal, runs at 30 fps, 4k on consoles, and has no performance modes.
In the same interview, developer Masakazu Hirayama also stated that the game would feature 2 different performance modes. He added:
“There will be options for people focusing more on frame rate or triggering. So there will be options like in other Team Ninja games. So you can look forward to having different options available when you launch the game.”
A playable demo for Wo Long: Fallen Dynasty is also available for PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series S/X if you want to check it out. Both game versions ran on the exact 1440p resolution at 60 frames per second. The demo version has 2 performance modes, resolution and performance modes, although it doesn’t specify what each mode runs at.
Wo Long: Fallen Dynasty is scheduled to release on March 03, 2023, for PC, PlayStation 4 & 5, and Xbox series S/X and One.
