Tekken 7 – A Battle Balance Update To Rollout On October 4th

New Balance Update Coming Tomorrow

Tekken 7 was developed and published by Bandai Namco Entertainment, a Japanese multinational video game publisher headquartered in Minato-ku, Tokyo. Other than Tekken Bandai Namco owns several multi-million video game franchises, including Pac-Man, Gundam, Soulcalibur, Tales, Ace Combat, and Dark Souls.

Tekken 7 has several new features to improve the fighting system such as Rage Arts and the Power Crush mechanic, making the game more beginner friendly than previous iterations in the series.

Tekken 7 Update Ver. 5.00 for PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and STEAM was supposed to be the last balance update, but this game will usher in a new balance adjustment tomorrow that is October 4th, 2022.

Update 5.00 which took place approximately two months ago on August 17th, 2022 implemented the following adjustments:

  • Battle balance adjustments: the performance of all characters’ moves were adjusted
  • Addition of the network information display: “Ping/RTT”, “Delay Frames”, and “Rollback Frames” were displayed.
  • Improved overall stability: Some system-related bugs were fixed.

Moreover, the 5.00 update, bought a new tactic to put opponents at a frame disadvantage. This made the game less stable, and some super-strong characters have not been greatly reduced, so the popularity of these characters increased exponentially after the 5.00 update.

Official Twitter announced that a new balance update will be released on October 4, and further added to their statement that after the update, the old version of the game playback will not be able to play.

This update is highly unexpected for Tekken 7 players, as the previous version 5.00 was called the “final balance update”. It is anticipated that this adjustment may weaken some characters that are too strong, and strengthen those characters having low popularity. However, the fact that the sequel, Tekken 8, has also been officially announced shouldn’t go unnoticed.
