Marvel’s Spider-Man 2 Could Include Brooklyn And Queens In The Open World Map

Notice This In The Trailer?

Spider-Man 2 is arguably the most anticipated upcoming game for 2023, and for a good reason. While there are storylines that are brought up in the original game that will be explored in the sequel, this project has the opportunity to do something different, honing the edges of the franchise to produce something fantastic.

Marvel’s Spider-Man is mostly set around the Manhattan skylines of New York City. However, Insomniac Games could potentially be planning something different for the sequel. Redditor u/1400Diggg  has noticed something exciting in the Spider-Man 2 reveal trailer, and it seems like Insomniac Games could be expanding the open world of Spider-Man 2 by adding two new boroughs to the game.

At exactly 1:01 in the official Spider-Man 2 trailer, we can see interesting graffiti on an alley wall. The graffiti reads “718“, and if you look at the area codes of New York City, 718 refers to Brooklyn, Queens, and Staten Island.

Including Queens and Brooklyn boroughs in the sequel would add some much-needed variety to the gameplay. Adding these boroughs makes sense because Miles and Peter Parker are originally from these locations. Peter Parker is also living in Queens after the events of the first game, so Brooklyn and Queens would be a great addition to an already exciting map of the Spider-Man universe.

Tony Todd – the voice actor of Venom – earlier disclosed that the sequel will feature a sizable open-world area; the trailer’s inclusion of this information could foreshadow what is to come. He also revealed that Spider-Man 2 would be full of action and exciting cinematic sequences.
